REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Effective Date: August 4, 2026
This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to services provided by Adeo Ideas Co LLC (“Adeo Ideas Co,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Because our services vary—from consultations and advisory engagements to branding, creative development, design, event, and production projects—specific refund and cancellation terms may differ by engagement.
The applicable proposal, statement of work, service agreement, booking confirmation, or invoice will identify any project-specific terms. If a project-specific written agreement conflicts with this general policy, the project-specific written agreement controls.
1. Deposits and Retainers
Unless a written proposal, service agreement, booking confirmation, or invoice expressly states otherwise, deposits and retainers are non-refundable once paid.
Deposits and retainers compensate Adeo Ideas Co LLC for reserving availability, evaluating and preparing for the engagement, beginning strategic or creative work, allocating personnel or resources, and potentially declining other opportunities.
A deposit or retainer may be refundable only when the applicable written agreement expressly identifies it as refundable or when Adeo Ideas Co LLC approves a refund in writing.
Approval of an exception for one engagement does not change this policy or create an obligation to approve an exception for another engagement.
2. Project-Specific Terms
Because every engagement has different requirements, the applicable written proposal or agreement may establish terms concerning:
The amount of the deposit or retainer
Whether a particular payment is refundable
Payment schedules and milestones
When work is considered to have begun
Deliverables and revision limits
Client cancellation or project termination
Third-party expenses and commitments
Event, venue, production, travel, or vendor costs
Consultation or advisory-session payments
Any other project-specific requirements
Clients should review and accept the applicable written terms before making a payment.
3. Client Cancellation Before Work Begins
A client may request cancellation by sending written notice to ejei@adeoideasco.com.
Unless the applicable written agreement states otherwise:
Deposits and retainers remain non-refundable.
Any additional advance payment for work that has not begun may be eligible for a full or partial refund.
Any approved refund will be reduced by non-refundable payment-processing charges, purchases, vendor commitments, or other costs already incurred for the engagement.
Whether work has begun will be determined by the services performed—not solely by whether a final deliverable has been presented. Work may include research, planning, consultation preparation, scheduling, strategy development, concept development, writing, design, coordination, production preparation, or other project activity.
4. Client Cancellation After Work Begins
If a client cancels an engagement after work has begun, the client remains responsible for:
All work completed through the effective cancellation date
Time already spent on the engagement
Completed or partially completed project phases
Approved purchases and expenses
Non-cancellable or non-refundable third-party commitments
Vendor, venue, production, travel, material, licensing, or contractor costs incurred for the project
Any other amounts identified as earned or payable under the applicable written agreement
Adeo Ideas Co LLC does not charge a separate cancellation penalty unless one is expressly included in the applicable written agreement.
If payments received exceed the amount earned for completed work and committed expenses, the remaining unearned balance may be refunded. Non-refundable deposits and retainers will not be included in the refundable balance unless the applicable written agreement expressly states otherwise.
If the amount earned and committed exceeds the payments already received, the client remains responsible for the outstanding balance.
5. Consultations and Advisory Sessions
Consultation and advisory-session terms may vary based on the service, preparation required, session length, and booking arrangement.
Unless the applicable booking terms state otherwise:
A consultation fee is non-refundable once the consultation has been delivered.
A consultation fee may also become non-refundable once substantive research, review, preparation, or advisory work has begun.
Cancellation requests received before preparation or other work begins will be reviewed based on the circumstances and any costs already incurred.
Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Any terms included in the applicable booking confirmation, proposal, invoice, or written agreement control.
6. Creative, Branding, and Design Projects
Creative, branding, design, publishing, website, presentation, campaign, and content-development projects involve customized intellectual and creative work.
Once research, strategy, concept development, writing, design, production, or other customized work begins:
Payments corresponding to completed work are considered earned.
Fees for completed or partially completed project phases may be non-refundable.
A client’s decision not to use a concept or deliverable does not, by itself, make completed work refundable.
The client remains responsible for authorized work performed before cancellation.
Ownership and usage rights for unfinished or unpaid work remain with Adeo Ideas Co LLC unless a written agreement states otherwise.
7. Events, Production, Vendors, and Third-Party Expenses
Event, experiential, activation, production, venue, travel, contractor, material, printing, licensing, and vendor expenses may be subject to separate third-party cancellation and refund terms.
The client is responsible for approved third-party expenses and commitments made on the client’s behalf.
Amounts paid or committed to third parties are refundable only to the extent that Adeo Ideas Co LLC actually receives a refund or credit from the applicable third party. We do not guarantee that a venue, vendor, contractor, platform, or other third party will issue a refund.
Any recovered amount may be reduced by applicable fees, charges, or non-refundable costs.
8. Project Delays or Inactivity
If a project is delayed because the client does not provide required materials, information, approvals, access, payment, or feedback, the delay does not automatically entitle the client to a refund.
Adeo Ideas Co LLC may pause the engagement and adjust the project schedule based on availability.
If an engagement remains inactive for an extended period, its continuation, reactivation, scheduling, and any additional costs will be handled according to the applicable written agreement or discussed with the client before work resumes.
9. Cancellation by Adeo Ideas Co LLC
We may pause or terminate an engagement if:
Required payments are not made
The client materially breaches an agreement
The client fails to provide information, access, materials, approvals, or cooperation reasonably required for the work
Continuing the engagement would be unlawful, unsafe, unethical, abusive, or impracticable
Circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent performance
If we cancel an engagement for reasons unrelated to a client’s breach or conduct, we will determine the value of work completed and committed expenses through the cancellation date. Any remaining unearned balance will be refunded.
If cancellation results from the client’s breach, nonpayment, misconduct, or failure to cooperate, the client remains responsible for completed work, committed expenses, and any other amounts due under the applicable agreement.
10. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing to:
The request should include:
The client’s name and business name
The relevant project, consultation, proposal, or invoice
The payment date and amount
The reason for the request
Any supporting information
Submitting a request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.
We will review the applicable written agreement, work completed, time spent, project status, payments received, and expenses or commitments incurred.
11. Approved Refunds
Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method when reasonably possible.
Processing times depend on the payment provider, bank, card issuer, and currency involved. After we authorize a refund, additional time may be required for the financial institution to post the funds to the client’s account.
Payment-provider charges, currency-conversion differences, bank fees, and third-party costs may not be recoverable.
12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Clients should contact us at ejei@adeoideasco.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so that we have an opportunity to review and resolve the matter.
A chargeback does not automatically cancel an engagement or eliminate amounts legitimately owed for completed work, reserved time, non-refundable deposits or retainers, or committed expenses.
We reserve the right to provide the applicable proposal, agreement, invoice, communications, proof of work, and payment records to the payment provider when responding to a dispute.
Nothing in this section limits any rights available under applicable law or the rules of the client’s card issuer or payment provider.
13. Policy Changes
We may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy periodically.
The policy in effect when the applicable proposal, service agreement, booking, or payment is accepted will generally govern that transaction unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.
